The Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs Organized and hosted for the first time a delegation of 12 journalists from the Pacific Islands, including the Marshall Islands, Fiji, Nauru, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Micronesia, Papua New Guinea and Samoa - who visited Israel for a week. During the week, the delegation visited Jerusalem, the Knesset, the Foreign Ministry, Nazareth, the Dead Sea and Masada. They heard political and security reviews and met with Yuval Rotem, director general of the Foreign Ministry.
The delegation also met with some honorary consuls that representing them in Israel at a festive dinner at "Beta Cafe" in Tel Aviv, attended by: Rafi Dayan - Honorary Consul of Fiji in Israel, Nissan Krupsky - Honorary Consul of Samoa in Israel, Benny Kubo - Honorary Consul of Vanuatu in Israel, Paul Israel - CEO of the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce, Livia Link Raviv - Director of the Pacific Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Yaron Dadon – representing the Pacific Islands at the Israeli Embassy in Canberra, Ron Gerstenfeld Foreign Minister and Ran Rahav - The Honorary Consul of the Marshall Islands in Israel.
