Today I was delighted to attend an event hosted by the US Ambassador in Israel, Thomas Richard Nides, at the home of the Vice Ambassador of the United States in Israel
in honor of the Asian countries and the Pacific Islands. This is an annual event which takes place in May at the White House and at U.S. embassies around the world. This event aims to honor the contribution and influence of Asian and Pacific Islands natives, as well as citizens of the United States on the history, culture and achievements of American society.
It was very exciting to see the ambassadors of Asian countries and the honorary consuls of the Pacific Islands. The event was honored to have, among others, MK Amir Ohana, the former Minister of Justice. MK Zvi Hauser, Deputy Chairman of the Knesset and Chairman of the Israel-Japan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group.
